Dr. Teresa Woods, D. Min

Therapist, Facilitator, Licensed & Ordained Evangelist

Dr. Teresa Woods is a native of Camden, AL, who currently resides in Elmore, AL. She has served in ministry for 16 years as a licensed and ordained Minister of the Gospel. In 2015, Anointed with Power (AWP) Ministry was founded with two visions attached: (1) A Great Cloud of Witnesses and (2) Empowering Leaders to Excel (ELE), which started as a leadership workshop and expanded into a leadership academy where Dr. Woods has developed and taught discipleship courses at numerous ministries that desired training. Ministry positions held include: Executive Assistant, Director of Ministry Affairs, Intercessory Prayer Team Director, and Chief Armorbearer. 

In addition, Dr. Woods launched a non-profit: A Brighter Day Therapeutic & Mentoring Services, which provides case management and creative therapeutic interventions to teens and their families. Also, she developed a mentor-to-mentor curriculum to teach others how to become strong and inspiring mentors.   In 2018, Dr. Woods received her Doctor of Ministry degree. In 2019, she released her first book titled “No More Silence, There is Safety,” which addresses mental health in the church, and a second book in 2025 titled “3 Pitfalls to Women in Leadership”.

Professionally, Dr. Woods is a Licensed Master’s Social Worker with 28 years of experience (15 of those working with children & families), 21 years of experience as a therapist, and 9 years of experience as a college professor. Her natural & spiritual gifts are administration, leadership, mentorship, and adjutancy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and empowering others through the word of God.
